• Hydration: Garden peonies are thirsty! Place them in a clean vase with plenty of fresh, cool water immediately.

• Trim Stems: Cut at least 2-3 cm off the bottom of the stems at a 45-degree angle to help them drink.

• Remove Foliage: Ensure no leaves are sitting below the water line, as this can cause bacteria growth.

• Guard Petals: You may notice the outer petals look slightly different or greenish—these are "guard petals" meant to protect the bloom. You can gently remove them if you prefer a cleaner look.
